"The Shadow of the Moon. A very dark Long Sword. It cuts best in well trained hands. How it is made is a secret..."
Finally finished! Added the (real) leather straps to the bone, re-attached the handle, and wrapped a small piece of cloth in the middle for added detail.
It isn't nearly as heavy as it looks, with the way I'm holding it. It can actually easily be held and "swooshed" with just one hand...and I'm not that strong. I realize it's a bit on the short side, compared to its real thing. I'm a tiny bit over 6 feet, to give you an idea of proportion for this picture. I'd imagine the long sword would sit comfortably at about 7 feet, but I eyeballed it wrong at the store when I bought the original piece of wood. Maybe I'll get the length right next time!
Check out my comparison picture! Where I compare my sword to a screenshot. [link] Also, Check out the closeups!:[link]
PLEASE COMMENT! Let me know what you think! This is my first sword I have ever made, so I'd love some tips if you notice any flaws.
Would be very happy 'bout some feedback of my work, greetings
try choosing a better background for the shot. looks kinda messy try going in the woods or a back yard
